Ivan Barnett owns the Patina Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Barnett's early signature works blended the folk tradition of his native Pennsylvania with strong, contemporary design and he is recognized as one of the first modern American craft artists to revive and interpret traditional American folk forms. He is one of the few living artists represented in the permanent collection of Santa Fe's Museum of International Folk Art. His most recent exhibition, Circlings, featured mobiles, striking compositions created with shapes cut from thin sheets of oxidized steel and painted flat black.
